Kilgore Forbush, a chronically late literature professor with an inventor’s heart, loses a bar bet and stumbles upon the world’s first anti-gravity circuit. A stuffed plush mouse—given to him by one of his admiring students—floats a few inches above his kitchen table. This discovery immediately makes him a target of NSA agents desperate to contain a secret project whose exposure could destabilize the global balance of power. As the NSA tightens its grip, Kilgore and his friends must decide whether the power to defy gravity belongs to one government—or to the world.
